Request a Free Remodeling Consultation
The initial conversation is free. Tell us about your goals, possible scope, budget range, and timing so we can discuss project fit and next steps.
Design and preconstruction planning are separate paid services. Drawings, renderings, selections, and detailed project development belong to that later scope, which is discussed before you proceed.
Why Choose Homework Remodels
Homework Remodels helps Phoenix-area homeowners plan and carry out kitchen, bathroom, whole-home, addition, and historic-home projects. Our design-build approach coordinates design, budgeting, and construction through one team.
What We Discuss in the Free Consultation
We begin by listening: what works in your home, what needs to change, and what you hope the project will make possible. Useful topics include your household’s routines, long-term needs, design preferences, budget boundaries, and timing.
You do not need finished plans to make an inquiry. This conversation helps us identify an appropriate next step; it is not a completed design, detailed construction estimate, or commitment to start work.
Design and Preconstruction Planning
If you decide to move forward, the next phase develops goals into a defined project. Our design team, led by Sheila Lanier, works through layout options, drawings or renderings, finish and fixture choices, and material selections as included in the agreed paid planning scope. Design decisions, cost feasibility, and scheduling considerations develop together.

These qualifications reflect professional training and continued involvement in the remodeling industry. Explore completed projects in our portfolio to see the kinds of homes and challenges we work with.
Planning for Your Home During Construction
Discuss project management, jobsite cleanup, dust barriers, floor protection, and communication arrangements as part of planning your project. Access needs and household routines matter, especially if you expect to remain at home during construction.
Historic Homes and Architectural Character
Homes in Willo, Encanto, F.Q. Story, and other established neighborhoods may need updates that respect original materials and proportions. Our work includes homes built from the 1920s through the 1970s and the coordination of architectural details, modern systems, and permitting.
Applicable building codes and historic-preservation review are separate considerations. Phoenix requires preservation design review for certain exterior changes to listed properties and properties within designated historic districts. Review requirements depend on the property and proposed work. See the City of Phoenix’s approvals and guidelines.
Read Homeowner Reviews
Read homeowners’ experiences on our Houzz profile and GuildQuality profile. The original reviews provide the project context and reviewer attribution.
Understand the Next Steps
Before committing to a project, discuss the proposed scope, responsibilities, written warranty terms, close-out documentation, and how questions will be handled after completion. Those details belong in your project conversations and agreements.
