Welcome to our transformed Casita, an ideal space for hosting family and friends or generating additional income through short-term rentals. Originally intended to repurpose a dilapidated garage, our professional assessment led us to rebuild from scratch, resulting in a versatile freestanding structure that maximizes space and functionality.
This Casita's Story
Upon initial inspection, the extent of dilapidation in the garage was evident, with cracking walls and sinking floors. Our recommendation to start anew allowed for optimal placement of the structure within the yard, creating space for additional parking and functional yard features such as raised planting beds and a covered patio area.
The newly constructed Casita features an ample living area with a spacious storage closet, a well-appointed kitchenette boasting generous counter space and an apartment-sized refrigerator, and a beautifully designed accessible bathroom with a spacious shower. The brick patio, crafted from reclaimed bricks salvaged from the former garage, adds rustic charm to the outdoor space, with some bricks retaining their original yellow hue.
Additionally, salvaged bricks were repurposed to create multiple raised planting beds, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the surrounding landscape. To ensure secure parking access, a new motorized gate was installed along the alley side of the property, providing peace of mind for homeowners and guests alike.
